Description

The Garmin GPSMAP 1623 is a 15.6-inch chartplotter with a Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen, giving a large, sharp picture that stays clear in bright sunlight and across wide viewing angles. This is the non-sonar (chart-only) model, designed to be the navigation centrepiece of a connected Garmin marine system, with HDMI output to mirror the display on an external monitor.

A preloaded worldwide basemap gets you started, while support for premium Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts adds detailed coastal cartography, Auto Guidance and high-resolution relief shading. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs the unit with the ActiveCaptain app for chart updates, smart notifications and Garmin Helm remote viewing.

With Garmin Marine Network, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity, the GPSMAP 1623 shares data with radar, sonar modules, autopilots, engines and instruments across the vessel. The rugged IPX7-rated housing is built for flush mounting at larger helms.

No. The GPSMAP 1623 (part number 010-02919-00) is the non-sonar, chart-only model with no built-in sonar. If you need built-in SideVu, ClearVu and traditional CHIRP sonar, choose the GPSMAP 1623xsv instead.

Does the GPSMAP 1623 have HDMI output?
Yes. The 15.6-inch GPSMAP 1623 has an HDMI video output that can duplicate the chartplotter screen on another device such as a television or monitor, using a Garmin GPSMAP HDMI accessory cable.
