Description
The Garmin GMR 1236 xHD3 pairs proven magnetron performance with 12 kW of peak transmit power and a 6 ft open-array antenna, resolving targets clearly out to a maximum range of 96 nautical miles. The longer array delivers an exceptionally narrow beam for outstanding target separation.
The xHD3 series introduces capabilities new to Garmin magnetron radar. Scan averaging filters out sea clutter for a cleaner image, target-size processing optimises the shape of detected objects, and true echo trails display the historical trail of moving boats so you can judge their course at a glance.
The open-array form factor combines a compact pedestal with the 6 ft array and rotates at 24 or 48 RPM, with dual-range scanning, radar overlay, guard zone and automatic bird gain. Commercial-grade weather performance includes a 100 kn wind rating, BlueNet and Marine Network control from a Garmin chartplotter, and an IPX6 water rating.
