Description
The GMR Fantom 254 delivers solid-state CHIRP pulse-compression performance with 250 W of peak power, making it Garmin's highest-powered solid-state marine radar. It combines excellent close-in detection with formidable long-range reach while running cooler and using less energy than a traditional magnetron radar.
MotionScope Doppler technology highlights moving targets in colour, making it easy to identify potential collision threats, flocks of birds and approaching weather at a glance. Auto Bird Gain optimises gain to reveal feeding birds, while MARPA tracks up to 10 targets simultaneously for confident situational awareness.
The open-array form factor combines a compact pedestal with a 4 ft array that rotates at up to 48 RPM for fast target updates. Dual-range scanning with overlay lets you watch near and far at once, controlled through a compatible Garmin chartplotter over BlueNet or the Garmin Marine Network. This model is supplied in a black housing and is rated to IPX6 with an 80 kn wind rating.
