Description
The 48V Battery Balancer is an Energy Solutions active voltage equaliser for a 48 volt bank made up of four 12V batteries wired in series. Small manufacturing differences mean series-connected batteries drift apart in voltage over time, and that imbalance shortens the life of the whole bank. The balancer continuously monitors the individual batteries and evens them out.
When it detects a difference between batteries, it actively transfers charge from the higher-voltage battery to the lower-voltage one at up to 5 amps until they are balanced. This works with lithium and lead-acid banks and helps protect an expensive battery investment from premature failure. A dedicated 48V unit keeps installation simple, and it is designed and built in the UK.
