VDR100-01
The Maretron VDR100 Vessel Data Recorder logs messages from every product on the vessel's NMEA 2000 network onto solid-state memory via a removable USB flash drive. A circular buffer preserves the latest data by overwriting the oldest only once memory is full, and the supplied 16GB drive holds weeks of data. Recorded data is extracted with Maretron's free N2KExtractor software to a CSV file for performance analysis, vessel tracking, preventive maintenance and diagnostics.

Description

The Maretron VDR100 Vessel Data Recorder captures messages transmitted from every product interconnected on your NMEA 2000 network. The recorded data can be used for performance analysis, vessel tracking, preventive maintenance, network diagnostics and warranty or accident investigation, helping to reduce operating cost and improve safety. Data is stored on solid-state memory via a removable USB flash drive housed under a waterproof cover, and a circular buffer ensures the latest data is always preserved by overwriting the oldest only once memory is full.

The supplied 16GB USB flash drive holds weeks or more of data, and a larger drive can store a year or more. To analyse the recordings, simply remove the drive and run Maretron's free N2KExtractor software on a PC or Mac, which builds a comma-delimited CSV file for graphing in a spreadsheet. A built-in 100 Mb/s Ethernet interface also allows recorded data to be accessed over a LAN from a connected PC running N2KExtractor.
