Description

The Garmin GMR 18 xHD3 packs high-definition magnetron radar into a compact 18-inch radome. With 4 kW of peak power and antenna rotation of up to 60 RPM, it delivers a fast, detailed radar picture and detection from 20 m out to 48 nautical miles, ideal for cruising and fishing offshore.

Scan averaging filters out sea clutter and interference for cleaner, more consistent targets, while target-size processing uses pulse expansion to optimise on-screen object shapes at all range scales. True echo trails display a historical trail of moving boats to help you quickly identify potential collision threats.

A 5.2-degree horizontal beamwidth keeps targets well separated, and dual-range with overlay lets you watch close and long range at the same time. The radome connects over Garmin BlueNet and Garmin Marine Network, carries an IPX7 water rating and is controlled entirely from a compatible Garmin chartplotter.
