Description
The Scanstrut LMB-A1 is a self-levelling backstay radar mount that keeps your radar steady and level with the horizon as the boat heels under sail or rolls in a seaway. A fine-tuned damping system reacts to changes in heel angle, holding the radome horizontal so it gives a clear, reliable picture in the conditions where radar matters most.
This aft-leaning version mounts on the backstay and stands 2.6m (8'6") high, raising the radar well above crew and deck gear while keeping the dome clear of obstruction and away from sources of interference.
Built around a machined aluminium damping chamber and a 316 stainless steel radar cradle, the LMB-A1 is entirely maintenance-free and needs no power to operate. It is designed to fit the most up-to-date radars from Garmin, Raymarine and B&G.

- Self-levelling design keeps the radar scanner horizontal as the yacht heels (plus or minus 8 degrees)
- Mounts a single radome to the backstay, clear of the deck and rigging
- Fits backstay cables from 7mm to 14mm diameter
- Supplied with a mounting pole in two 1.3M sections with a joiner
- Can be deck, transom or chainplate mounted using the optional chainplate adapter
- Optional 0.65M and 1.3M pole extensions available
- GPS antenna can be added using the LM-GPS bracket
