Description
The Garmin GPSMAP 1223xsv with GMR 18 HD3 Radome is a ready-to-install radar bundle, combining the 12-inch GPSMAP 1223xsv chartplotter with Garmin's latest-generation 18-inch HD3 dome radar. It adds collision avoidance and weather awareness to a large connected helm.
The GMR 18 HD3 is a magnetron radome delivering 4 kW of peak power, with detection from 20 m out to 36 nm and a refined target picture. It connects using Garmin BlueNet and is compatible with the Garmin Marine Network, so radar imagery can be shown on the chartplotter and overlaid on the chart.
The 1223xsv brings a high-resolution WXGA IPS touchscreen with built-in SideVu, ClearVu and traditional CHIRP sonar, HDMI output, a preloaded worldwide basemap and support for premium Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts. Built-in Wi-Fi, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 link the system to the ActiveCaptain app, autopilots, engine data and instruments. Both units are rated to IPX7.
