Description

The Raymarine Cyclone 3ft Open Array is the 3 ft (36 in) antenna for the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro solid-state radar systems. Its horizontal beamwidth of 2.83° sharpens target separation: the longer the array, the narrower the beam, so larger antennas resolve closely spaced contacts and distant targets with greater clarity. The aircraft-wing-inspired design is engineered for extremes, with a 100-knot wind rating.

The antenna fits both the 55-watt Cyclone pedestal (E70620) and the 110-watt Cyclone Pro pedestal (E70621), rotating at up to 60 RPM for fast, fluid imaging. It mounts to the pedestal with the supplied M8 hardware and O-rings. This listing is the antenna only; a Cyclone pedestal, VCM100 voltage converter and interconnect cables are required for a complete radar system.

Which antenna size should I choose for my Cyclone radar?
Cyclone antennas come in 3 ft (36 in), 4 ft (48 in) and 6 ft (72 in). The longer the array, the narrower the horizontal beamwidth (2.83 degrees, 1.99 degrees and 1.32 degrees respectively), giving better target separation and resolution; larger arrays need more mounting space and clearance.
Does this antenna fit both the Cyclone and Cyclone Pro pedestals?
Yes. The same Cyclone open-array antennas (E70628, E70629 and E70630) fit both the 55-watt Cyclone pedestal (E70620) and the 110-watt Cyclone Pro pedestal (E70621).
Is the pedestal included with the antenna?
No. This listing is the antenna only. A complete radar requires a Cyclone pedestal (E70620 or E70621), a VCM100 voltage converter and the power and data cables, or you can buy a topfill pack that includes all of these.
How is the antenna fitted to the pedestal?
The antenna mounts to the pedestal using the four supplied M8 hex bolts with spring washers, plain washers and O-rings, as described in the Cyclone installation instructions (document 87402).
