Description

This Raymarine R70351 is the slip ring assembly that passes power and signals between the fixed base of a Quantum radar and its continuously rotating antenna. It is supplied as a genuine service part for the Quantum Q24C and Q24W radomes, and is renewed when worn slip-ring contacts cause intermittent operation or loss of the radar picture.

Because the antenna rotates constantly during operation, the slip ring provides the electrical path that a fixed cable cannot. Over time the contacts can wear, so fitting a genuine replacement assembly restores a reliable connection to the rotating scanner. This part should be fitted by a competent technician following the relevant Raymarine service documentation, and the radome should be resealed with a fresh gasket on reassembly.
