Description
This Raymarine R70633 is the antenna assembly for the Quantum 2 Q24D Doppler radar scanner. It is the rotating patch-array antenna that transmits the X-band CHIRP signal and receives the returning echoes, and is supplied as a genuine service part for the Quantum 2 Q24D radome, including the black E70498-B variant.
The antenna is central to the Doppler radar's ability to detect and colour-code moving targets, so a correctly-functioning assembly is essential to performance. Fitting a genuine Raymarine replacement restores the scanner to its original specification when the antenna has been damaged or has failed. This part should be fitted by a competent technician following the relevant Raymarine service documentation, and the radome should be resealed with a fresh gasket on reassembly.
