Description
This Raymarine R70342 is the radome gasket, the sealing ring that fits between the top and base of a Quantum radar scanner. It is supplied as a genuine service part for the Quantum Q24C and Q24W radomes, and should be renewed whenever the radome is opened for service to ensure the unit reseals correctly.
The Quantum radome carries an IPx6 waterproof rating, which depends on the gasket making a continuous, undamaged seal around the joint. Fitting a fresh genuine gasket during reassembly restores that protection and helps prevent water ingress that could damage the antenna and rotating gear inside. This part should be fitted by a competent technician following the relevant Raymarine service documentation.
