Description

Alpha performance displays take power and data through a single 8 pin right angled connector, and this 1 m power and RayNet cable (A80752) suits helm pods and bulkhead installations close to the power feed. The RayNet plug connects to your Raymarine Axiom or Axiom 2 Series chartplotter network, while the bare ended wires connect to a 12 V or 24 V supply: red positive, black negative, plus a grey drain wire for the vessel RF ground.

A waterproof holder with an 8 A inline fuse is fitted, enough for a full chain of four displays at 2 A per display. Only one display in a chain is powered directly; the rest take power and data through daisy chain cables. Compatible with both the Alpha 7 (E70649) and Alpha 9 (E70650); the displays do not include any cable in the box, so one power and RayNet cable is required per installation.

Is a power cable included with the Alpha display?
No. Alpha performance displays are supplied without a cable. Every installation needs one combined power and RayNet cable (1 m, 3 m, 5 m or 10 m), and each additional daisy-chained display needs a 0.3 m or 1 m daisy chain cable.
What fuse should I fit?
The power and RayNet cable comes with a waterproof holder and an 8 A inline fuse. Rate the fuse for the chain it feeds: 2 A for one display, 4 A for two, 6 A for three and 8 A for four daisy-chained displays.
Can I run the cable inside the mast?
Yes. Cables connected to an Alpha display may be routed inside a hollow mast. Protect them from chafing where they enter and exit, and keep them away from other power or antenna cabling to minimise interference.
