Description
The Simrad R5027 25U/9X is an IMO type-approved X-band radar system for CAT 1 SOLAS vessels. It pairs a 25 kW up-mast transceiver with a 9-foot open-array antenna and a 27-inch widescreen display, delivering the long-range detection and target discrimination required for large commercial ships.
The system is built on the modular R5000 radar processor, a high-performance black box that connects to the transceiver over a thin, easy-to-route Ethernet cable. The wide display keeps alerts, settings and target information alongside the main PPI, and the radar meets the IMO resolutions applicable to CAT 1(H) type-approved installations. Supplied with a 30 m cable run.
