Simrad HR80 Heading Repeater
Description
The Simrad HR80 is a large-format, multi-mode heading repeater designed for the professional user. It presents the vessel's heading simultaneously as an analogue compass card and a digital LED readout, so the watchkeeper can take in heading at a glance in any conditions. An LED bargraph turn-rate indicator and an actual-versus-commanded heading function add further situational awareness on the bridge.
Heading data is accepted over NMEA 0183 or SimNet, and valid NMEA 0183 data is re-transmitted onto SimNet for use by additional repeaters and displays. True or magnetic heading can be selected as the reference, and the HR80 works alongside other Simrad professional instruments including the WI80, IS80 and IS70 ranges. Built for continuous use, it carries a 6.8 inch display in a rugged IP66-rated housing.
