The Garmin GDT 43 bundle pairs the thru-hull depth and temperature transducer with a NMEA 2000 adapter, so it connects directly to a NMEA 2000 network and displays on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument. Operating at 200 kHz with a depth capability of 275 m, it retrofits an existing Nexus or Silva 43 mm thru-hull (TH43) and reads both depth and water temperature.

Description

This Garmin GDT 43 bundle combines the thru-hull depth and temperature transducer with a NMEA 2000 adapter, giving a complete, ready-to-network solution. The transducer operates at 200 kHz, reading water depth to a capability of 275 m (900 ft) along with water temperature, while the supplied adapter lets it connect directly to a NMEA 2000 network for display on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument. It is designed as a straightforward retrofit for an existing Nexus or Silva 43 mm thru-hull transducer (TH43), fitting metal and fibreglass hulls from 6 to 42 mm thick through a 43 mm hole. The transducer is supplied with a 6 m (19.7 ft) cable, and the compact NMEA 2000 adapter runs from a 9 to 16 Vdc supply drawing a maximum of 2.4 W. This package is the simplest way to bring depth and temperature data onto a modern NMEA 2000 system.
