Simrad NAC-3 Core Pack With Rudder Feedback

Pack consists of:

000-13250-001 NAC-3 Autopilot Computer
000-12607-001 Precision-9 Compass

The NAC-3 Autopilot Computer is the brains behind your autopilot system. NAC-3 contains the control algorithms developed to helm a yacht across a broad range of weather conditions and sea-states, alongside the electronics needed to operate a hydraulic or mechanical drive unit, while also interfacing with other components including heading sensors and rudder feedback units. The NAC-3 was designed for boats 10 metres (33 feet) or greater in length and is rated to operate high-current hydraulic drives, mechanical drive units, and solenoid valves with a current rating of 30 Amps continuous (50 Amps peak).

What is included in the NAC-3 Autopilot Core Pack?
The pack contains the high-current NAC-3 autopilot computer, the Precision-9 compass, an RF25 rudder feedback unit and a Micro-C backbone (NMEA 2000 starter) kit.
What size of boat is this pack for?
It is intended for boats 10 metres (33 feet) or greater, with the NAC-3 rated to drive high-current hydraulic pumps, linear rams, mechanical drives and solenoid valves at up to 30 amps continuous.
Do I still need to buy a drive unit?
Yes. The pack supplies the computer, compass, rudder feedback and network backbone. A compatible high-current drive unit is required to suit your steering system.
What is the difference between this pack and the VRF pack?
This pack includes an RF25 physical rudder feedback unit. The NAC-3 VRF pack omits the rudder feedback and uses Virtual Rudder Feedback for outboard and sterndrive boats.
