Description
The Raymarine ST1000 Plus is a complete, self-contained tiller autopilot for tiller-steered sailing yachts up to 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) displacement. It packs the electric drive, fluxgate compass and control head into a single cockpit-mounted unit that clips onto your tiller, holding an accurate course so you can trim sails, navigate or simply rest.
A lead-screw and nut drive delivers up to 57 kg (125 lb) of thrust with a lock-to-lock helm time of around 8 seconds, while automatic deadband and seastate control keep the boat tracking smoothly without over-working the drive. The backlit LCD and six-button keypad give clear, simple control, including AutoTack and WindTrim steering to the apparent wind.
Built in SeaTalk and NMEA navigator interfaces let the ST1000 Plus steer to waypoints from a compatible chartplotter or GPS, and connect to other SeaTalk instruments. It runs from a 10 to 15 V dc supply and draws very little power on standby.
