Description

The Garmin GT56UHD-TR is the trolling-motor version of Garmin's flagship GT56 transducer, supplied with 48-inch shaft Force and Force Kraken trolling motors. Housed in the lower unit of the motor, it combines high-wide CHIRP traditional sonar with Garmin ClearVu and SideVu scanning sonar to give a complete picture of fish and structure around the boat.

Three scanning frequencies let you prioritise resolution or range: Ultra High-Definition 1 MHz for the sharpest shallow-water detail, 800 kHz for a balance of clarity and depth, and 455 kHz CHIRP to extend SideVu coverage to 152 m (500 ft.) per side. Traditional sonar reaches 244 m (800 ft.). With the transducer integrated into the motor, anglers gain forward-facing imaging that follows the trolling motor as it steers.

What is the GT56UHD-TR?
It is the trolling-motor (TR) version of the Garmin GT56UHD transducer, built into the lower unit of 48-inch Garmin Force and Force Kraken trolling motors. It provides Ultra High-Definition ClearVu, SideVu and high-wide CHIRP traditional sonar.
How does the GT56UHD-TR differ from the GT56UHD-TM?
Both share the same sonar capability, frequencies and power. The TR version is designed to be integrated into a Force trolling motor rather than mounted on a transom, so the imaging steers with the motor.
How deep can the GT56UHD-TR read?
Traditional CHIRP sonar reaches 244 m (800 ft.). ClearVu reaches 122 m (400 ft.) at 455 kHz and SideVu covers up to 152 m (500 ft.) each side at 455 kHz, depending on water conditions.
What connector and cable length does it use?
The GT56UHD-TR uses a 12-pin Garmin transducer connector with a 7.6 m (25 ft.) cable.
Which trolling motors use the GT56UHD-TR?
It is supplied with 48-inch shaft Garmin Force and Force Kraken trolling motors and serves as their built-in sonar transducer, feeding a compatible Garmin chartplotter.
