Description
The Garmin GT15M-TH is a bronze thru-hull transducer providing 600 W mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar across 80 to 160 kHz, with clear bottom definition and target separation to a maximum depth of 549 m (1,800 ft). Its bronze housing suits wooden, fibreglass and composite hulls, and it can be fitted to metal hulls using the included isolation plate and bushing. The transducer is designed to mount flush on a flat location of less than 6 degrees deadrise; on steeper hulls a fairing block can be fabricated to bring it parallel to the waterline. It must be installed with at least one anti-rotation bolt. An 8-pin connector lets it plug into a compatible Garmin chartplotter or fishfinder, where it delivers the traditional fish-arch and bottom view.

What sonar does the GT15M-TH provide?
It is a mid-band CHIRP traditional transducer covering 80 to 160 kHz at 600 W, giving clear bottom definition and the traditional fish-arch view. It does not provide ClearVu or SideVu scanning sonar.

How does it connect to my chartplotter?
It uses an 8-pin connector that plugs into a compatible Garmin chartplotter or fishfinder. You may need to update the device software when you install it.
Does it have to be installed with an anti-rotation bolt?
Yes. Garmin requires at least one of the included anti-rotation bolts to be fitted, otherwise the transducer could rotate while the boat is moving and damage the vessel.
