Description

The Garmin Force Kraken takes the proven Force platform and rebuilds it for boats with higher freeboard and limited bow space. A quiet brushless motor delivers up to 100 lb of peak thrust while sipping power, and this 63 in. shaft keeps the propeller submerged on taller-sided hulls. True reverse thrust lets you back the bow off cover and hold position more precisely than a forward-only motor.

This white model ships as a motor only and is sonar-ready: add a GT56UHD-TR transducer to gain Garmin ClearVu and SideVu ultra-high-definition scanning and traditional CHIRP sonar. The shaft is engineered so a forward-facing sonar cable can be routed internally, making the Kraken ready for LiveScope. Full GPS autopilot adds anchor lock, heading hold and route and track following, all controlled from the wireless foot pedal, handheld remote, a compatible Garmin chartplotter, the ActiveCaptain app or a Garmin watch.

Does this white Kraken include a transducer?
No. This white 63 in. model is supplied as a motor only. It is sonar-ready and accepts a GT56UHD-TR transducer (010-02732-01) for ClearVu, SideVu and CHIRP sonar, sold separately.
How much thrust does the Force Kraken produce?
It delivers up to 100 lb of peak thrust from a quiet brushless motor, run on a 36 Vdc battery system.
What makes the Kraken different from the standard Force?
The Kraken is purpose-built for boats with higher freeboard and limited bow space, adds true reverse thrust, and lets you route a forward-facing sonar cable inside the shaft for a system such as LiveScope.
Can I add forward-facing sonar like LiveScope?
Yes. The Kraken shaft is designed so a forward-facing sonar transducer cable can be routed internally, allowing you to add a system such as Garmin LiveScope.
What battery voltage does the Force Kraken need?
It is a 24 V or 36 V capable motor with an operating range of 20 to 45 Vdc; a 36 V supply is required for full thrust. It draws up to 60 A continuous and needs a suitable circuit breaker (not included).
How is the Force Kraken controlled?
Steer and control it with the wireless foot pedal or handheld remote, or from a compatible Garmin chartplotter, the ActiveCaptain app or a compatible Garmin watch. GPS anchor lock, heading hold and route following are all built in.
