Description
The Airmar B60 is a bronze thru-hull transducer that reads depth and water temperature through a single flush fitting. It uses Airmar Tilted Element technology, with a dual-frequency ceramic element fixed at a 20 degree angle inside the housing so the acoustic beam stays vertical on a sloped hull.
Operating at 50 and 200 kHz, it gives good deep-water bottom tracking at 50 kHz with a 45 degree beam and higher-resolution detail in shallower water at 200 kHz with a 12 degree beam. This 20 degree model is matched to hulls with a steeper deadrise, keeping readings accurate under way.
Rated at 600 W with maximum depth around 900 metres, the flush bronze B60 suits smaller sportfishing and commercial vessels up to about 8 metres, combining depth and temperature in one connection to compatible Simrad, Lowrance and B&G displays via the xSonic connector.
