Description
The Vesper WatchMate Vision2 is the world's first colour touchscreen Class B smartAIS transponder with built in WiFi. A highly responsive 5.7 inch capacitive touchscreen puts every function at your fingertips, with five mode buttons for quick access to features and a split screen view that keeps the AIS plotter visible while showing prioritised target details. Worldwide coastline outlines and a screen readable through polarised sunglasses make it a genuine standalone navigation aid.
Powered by smartAIS, the Vision2 delivers proactive collision, anchor drag and man overboard alerts while intelligently removing clutter so only the targets that matter are shown. Built in WiFi shares safety data wirelessly with up to eight mobile devices running a wide range of third party apps, and the free WatchMate app for iPhone and iPad adds remote control of alerts, alarms and transponder settings. NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 and waterproof USB provide full integration with onboard electronics.
A 50 channel GPS receiver with a built in antenna, IPx7 waterproofing and Silent Mode round out the feature set. This model is discontinued following Garmin's acquisition of Vesper Marine.
