Vesper WatchMate XB-6000 AIS Transponder inc External GPS

The Vesper WatchMate XB-6000 is a high performance black box Class B AIS transponder with a fully certified built in NMEA 2000 gateway. It transmits your vessel's position and receives Class A and Class B AIS data from surrounding traffic, delivering it to your chartplotter, MFD or computer over NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 or waterproof USB. It shares the AIS, GPS and gateway capability of the XB-8000 but without the WiFi module.

A built in 50 channel GPS receiver with its own internal antenna removes the need for an external antenna in most installations, and a powerful external antenna is included for sites without a clear view of the sky. A fast 5 Hz GPS update rate delivers smoother, higher resolution tracking on connected equipment, and the XB-6000 can act as the primary GPS source on a NMEA 2000 network. It also translates NMEA 2000 instrument data such as heading, wind, depth and speed and routes it to USB or NMEA 0183.

Fully waterproof to IPx7 with very low power consumption, the XB-6000 supports Silent Mode via an external switch or a connected PC or Mac. This model is discontinued following Garmin's acquisition of Vesper Marine.
