The Maretron WSO200 is a marine-grade ultrasonic wind and weather station that measures apparent wind speed and direction, air temperature, barometric pressure and relative humidity, and derives wind chill, heat index and dew point. Wind is calculated by six ultrasonic sensors in a delta configuration, so there are no moving parts to wear out or catch in the rigging, and it stays accurate under tilt of up to 30 degrees. It is NMEA 2000 certified and waterproof to IP67.

Description

The second-generation Maretron WSO200 is a marine-grade ultrasonic wind and weather station that accurately measures apparent wind speed and direction, air temperature, barometric pressure and relative humidity, and derives wind chill factor, heat index and dew point. Wind is measured using six ultrasonic sensors in a delta configuration, so there are no moving parts to wear out or to get caught in the rigging, and it is not affected by the bearing wear, salt and dirt build-up or bird perching that can cause mechanical anemometers to fail or read inaccurately.

Precise wind speed and direction is achieved under tilt of up to 30 degrees, as with heeled sailboats or powerboats in pitching seas, making it well suited to sail and power alike. The WSO200 is NMEA 2000 certified, so when combined with a Maretron DSM Series or TSM Series display, or any device running N2KView, all data is visible on the network for a plug-and-play experience. Add a Maretron triducer, GPS receiver and compass to view true, vessel-referenced and ground-referenced wind. It mounts on a 1"-14 standard marine mount and is waterproof to IP67.
