What does the WS320 wireless interface do?
It is the Bluetooth base station that receives apparent wind data from the WS320 masthead sensor and converts it to NMEA 2000 for compatible instruments and MFDs.
How is the base station powered?
It is powered directly from the NMEA 2000 network at 9 to 16V DC and presents a load of 2 LEN.
What mast height does the wireless range support?
The base station communicates with the WS320 sensor over distances up to 30 metres (98 ft), suitable for most mast heights.
Where should the base station be mounted?
Mount it within wireless range of the masthead sensor and connect it to the NMEA 2000 backbone using the supplied drop cable and T-joiner. Pairing should be completed before the sensor is installed at the masthead.
