How is the WS320 wireless sensor powered?
The WS320 masthead unit is solar powered and uses a battery, so no mast cable is required for power or data.
How far can the wireless signal reach?
The WS320 transmits wireless wind data over distances up to 30 metres (98 ft), suiting most mast heights when paired with the WS320 base station.
Does the WS320 sensor work on its own?
No. The sensor must be paired with the WS320 wireless base station (interface), which connects to your NMEA 2000 network. Pairing should be done before installing the sensor on the mast.
Should I remove the sensor for winter storage?
Yes. B&G recommends removing the masthead unit and its battery during winter storage to prevent battery drain. The pairing process is repeated when reinstalled.
