Description
The Simrad GS70 is an IMO-compliant GPS smart antenna designed to feed accurate position data to commercial navigation systems such as the Simrad GN70, MX610 and MX612 over NMEA 2000. A 32-channel receiver outputs position at a user-selectable rate of 1, 5 or 10 Hz, with GPS accuracy of around 5 m and improved accuracy of about 2 m when receiving DGPS corrections from SBAS satellites such as WAAS.
Housed in a rugged, fully sealed enclosure, the GS70 connects with a single NMEA 2000 cable for straightforward installation and integrates cleanly into IMO-class navigation and conning systems. It is the recommended position source for Simrad commercial GN70 and MX-series installations.
