Simrad AIS V5035 Class A Transceiver
Description
Now replaced by the Simrad V5043 Class A AIS System (000-16280-001). The Simrad V5035 is an IMO type-approved Class A AIS transponder, supplied as a complete standalone system with an integrated 3.5-inch colour display, junction box, GPS antenna and pilot port connector, so it requires only a VHF antenna to complete the installation. A control knob and keypad allow it to be operated on its own, showing AIS traffic in coastline, radar, alphanumeric and satellite views.
The V5035 transmits and receives on the two AIS channels, includes a dedicated DSC receiver and an internal 50-channel GPS receiver with SBAS, and integrates easily with Simrad GPS and charting systems over NMEA 2000, including the GN70, MX610 and MX612 navigation systems and NSO, NSS and E5000 ECDIS. Its junction box provides multiple sensor inputs and bi-directional data ports for connection to external GPS, ECDIS, radar and VDR.
