Description
The Simrad R5024 30U/12S is a CAT 2 type-approved S-band radar built around a 30kW up-mast transceiver and a 12ft open-array antenna, supplied with a 24-inch widescreen display. S-band gives strong performance in rain and heavy weather. Based on the R5000 radar processor, it connects to the transceiver over a thin Ethernet cable and can be networked with additional R5000 processors to build multi-radar systems for SOLAS-class vessels.
