Description
The Simrad GC85 Compact Gyro System MK2 is a fully IMO-approved gyrocompass built for demanding commercial and offshore navigation. Its sophisticated, fully sealed sensitive element delivers high heading accuracy and stability, and is field-swappable so servicing can be carried out on board to minimise vessel downtime. Low-RPM rotation removes the need for routine annual service or oil changes, while a choice of stepper and NMEA 0183 heading outputs feeds repeaters, ECDIS, radar, autopilot and other navigation systems directly. It is type-approved for both standard and high-speed craft applications.
