Description
This Simrad Autopilot Gateway provides the bridge between a Simrad autopilot computer and Volvo Penta EVC and IPS steer-by-wire drives. It allows the autopilot to take control of the boat's electronic steering system without a separate hydraulic drive unit, giving clean, fully integrated autopilot operation on compatible Volvo-equipped vessels from 2013 onward.
The gateway connects to the NMEA 2000 network and is Volvo Penta approved, with a fully waterproof IPX7-rated housing for reliable operation in the engine space. It is required when pairing a Simrad SG05 or NAC-series autopilot computer with Volvo EVC or IPS drives.
