Description

The Garmin Force Kraken takes the proven Force platform and rebuilds it with true reverse thrust and an internally routed sonar cable. A quiet brushless motor delivers up to 100 lb of peak thrust while sipping power, and this compact 48 in. shaft suits boats with a lower-profile bow. Reverse thrust lets you back the bow off cover and hold position more precisely than a forward-only motor.

This black model is supplied with a handheld remote control and a built-in GT56UHD-TR transducer, bringing Garmin ClearVu and SideVu ultra-high-definition scanning plus traditional CHIRP sonar straight from the nose cone. The shaft is engineered so a forward-facing sonar cable can be routed internally, making the Kraken ready for LiveScope. Full GPS autopilot adds anchor lock, heading hold and route and track following, with control from the remote, the wireless foot pedal, a compatible Garmin chartplotter, the ActiveCaptain app or a Garmin watch.

What is included with this 48" Kraken?
This black 48 in. model ships with a handheld remote control and a built-in GT56UHD-TR sonar transducer, plus the wireless foot pedal, mount and mounting hardware.
How much thrust does the Force Kraken produce?
It delivers up to 100 lb of peak thrust from a quiet brushless motor, run on a 36 Vdc battery system.
Is the 48" shaft right for my boat?
The 48 in. shaft is the shortest Kraken option and suits boats with a lower-profile bow. Taller-sided boats or rougher water generally call for the 63 in. or 75 in. shaft to keep the propeller submerged.
Can I add forward-facing sonar like LiveScope?
Yes. The Kraken shaft is designed so a forward-facing sonar transducer cable can be routed internally, allowing you to add a system such as Garmin LiveScope.
Does it have reverse thrust and anchor lock?
Yes. The Kraken adds true reverse thrust, and its GPS autopilot provides anchor lock, heading hold and route and track following.
What battery voltage does the Force Kraken need?
It is a 24 V or 36 V capable motor with an operating range of 20 to 45 Vdc; a 36 V supply is required for full thrust. It draws up to 60 A continuous and needs a suitable circuit breaker (not included).
