Description
The Garmin GPSMAP 9500 is a black box chartplotter for captains who want a fully custom glass helm. Rather than a fixed display, it drives your choice of compatible HDMI monitor at up to 4K UHD, with HDCP support, making it ideal for hidden OEM and bespoke dashboard installations.
Built on the Garmin BlueNet network, the 9500 shares sonar, radar, detailed charts and HDMI video at high speed across compatible displays. It offers two HDMI inputs, an HDMI output, composite video in, NMEA 2000 and J1939 engine connectivity, plus Wi-Fi for ActiveCaptain and updates. The unit ships with a worldwide basemap. An HDMI OUT connection to a monitor is required for operation, and you control it with a touchscreen monitor or a GRID remote input device. A networked Garmin GPS antenna and a sonar source complete the system; an external card reader is required for charts.
