Description

The Garmin GT36UHD-TM is a dedicated scanning transducer that adds Ultra High-Definition ClearVu and SideVu imaging to a compatible Garmin chartplotter. Unlike the all-in-one GT54 and GT56, the GT36 concentrates on scanning sonar and does not include traditional sonar, making it a focused upgrade for anglers who want the clearest possible view of structure beneath and beside the boat.

Three frequencies provide versatility: Ultra High-Definition 1 MHz for the finest detail in shallow water, 800 kHz for a balance of clarity and depth, and 455 kHz CHIRP to push SideVu coverage out to 152 m (500 ft.) per side. The transducer mounts on a transom or trolling motor, carries a fast-response temperature sensor, and runs at 500 W on both ClearVu and SideVu.

Does the GT36UHD-TM have traditional sonar?
No. The GT36UHD-TM is a dedicated scanning transducer providing Garmin ClearVu and SideVu, including Ultra High-Definition scanning. It does not include traditional CHIRP sonar, unlike the all-in-one GT54 and GT56.
What frequencies does the GT36UHD-TM use?
ClearVu and SideVu operate at CHIRP 455 kHz, UHD 800 kHz and UHD 1 MHz, letting you choose between extended range and the highest scanning resolution.
How deep can the GT36UHD-TM scan?
ClearVu reaches 122 m (400 ft.) at 455 kHz, and SideVu covers up to 152 m (500 ft.) each side at 455 kHz. Higher 1 MHz frequencies trade range for resolution. Performance depends on water conditions.
How is the GT36UHD-TM mounted?
It is a transom-mount transducer and can also be fitted to a trolling motor. Mounting brackets and hardware are included, and a built-in temperature sensor is fitted.
Which Garmin chartplotters work with the GT36UHD-TM?
It is compatible with STRIKER Vivid/Plus, ECHOMAP UHD2 and ECHOMAP Ultra 2 chartplotters, the GPSMAP 8600xsv and 9000 series, the GPSMAP 7x3/9x3/12x3/16x3xsv series, and the GCV 20 and GSD 25 sonar modules. Some pairings need a Garmin adapter cable.
