Description
The Naviop EGON+ is a power distribution board designed to supply power across the whole boat and replace a single, bulky electrical panel. By distributing power locally it reduces cabling, cuts wiring time and cost, and frees up space on board. This 12 V DC version offers 16 channels in total: eight outputs controlled via relays and eight outputs where the fuse is monitored. It communicates over a CAN bus using the SAE J1939 protocol as part of a multiplexing system.
EGON+ is rated at 200 A, with individual outputs supporting up to 30 A with fuses, and it reports the status of relays and fuses to the CAN bus every second, flagging any blown fuse or failed relay. Eight by-pass inputs allow relay coils to be driven directly, providing a fallback in emergency conditions. The unit is built for demanding marine use with a heavy-duty IP66 housing, silicone and Gore-Tex gasketing and conformal-coated electronics. Naviop is a third-party integration brand sold under the Simrad name.
