Description
The Airmar IDST800L is a low-profile Smart multisensor that measures depth, boat speed and water temperature from a single thru-hull housing and delivers the data straight onto a Simrad or Navico network. Housed in the extended-stem B-122 plastic body, it is well suited to vessels with thicker or cored hulls where the standard stem would be too short.
The sensor operates at 235 kHz, a frequency chosen to run alongside conventional 50/200 kHz sounders without interference, so it can share a hull with a fishfinding transducer. A retractable insert lets you withdraw the paddlewheel and depth element for cleaning or antifouling, while the self-closing valve keeps water out of the boat while the insert is removed.
Factory-calibrated speed and fast-response temperature output make it a dependable primary instrument sensor for sailing yachts and motor cruisers, supplied here with a 6 metre cable ready to plug into the network.
