Description
The B&G H5000 Serial Expansion Module allows expansion of an H5000 system to enable additional serial interfacing options. The module acts as the interface between serial devices and the H5000 CPU.
It provides 2 COM ports, each with input and output, and supports RS232, RS422, RS485 and NMEA 0183 devices. It is typically used for interfacing devices such as a GPS antenna, a Halcyon gyro-stabilised compass or navigation software such as Deckman via the serial port. All modules are powered from the network, and the function of each port is configured via the webserver interface. Modules can be located wherever is most convenient and connect anywhere on the network.
