Description
The B&G (and Simrad) T2 hydraulic linear drive is a high-power, efficient drive unit that combines the cylinder, pump, motor, clutch and reservoir in a single pre-filled, sealed actuator. This integrated design means there are no external hoses or reservoirs to install. This 12 V version suits boats up to 20,000 kg displacement and delivers a typical maximum thrust of 700 kg with a 9-second hard-over time. When the clutch is disengaged the cylinder moves freely with the primary steering, and internal relief valves protect the unit from rudder strikes and grounding. Like all ram drives it allows Power Steer mode to be used in the event of manual steering failure. Designed for under-deck installation and compatible with H5000 and NAC-3 autopilot computers.
