The B&G T4 is a Type 4 hydraulic drive that pairs a 24 V constant-running reversible pump with twin steering cylinders for larger vessels up to 55,000 kg displacement. The constant-running configuration gives the best balance of performance, reliability and efficiency on bigger boats, and supports Power Steer mode if the primary steering fails. Description

The B&G (and Simrad) T4 is a Type 4 hydraulic drive built for larger vessels. It uses a 24 V constant-running reversible pump driving two steering cylinders (rams), a configuration that gives the best compromise of performance, reliability and efficiency on bigger boats up to 55,000 kg displacement. These high-power, efficient drives deliver maximum power for minimum consumption, and like all ram drives they allow Power Steer mode to be used in the event of manual steering failure. Compatible with H5000 and NAC-3 autopilot computers.
