The NAC-2 VRF Autopilot Core Pack pairs the low-current NAC-2 autopilot computer with the Precision-9 heading sensor and uses Virtual Rudder Feedback, so no separate rudder feedback unit is required. Ideal for smaller vessels up to 10 metres (33 feet), it drives small hydraulic and mechanical drives and also provides solenoid output. Virtual Rudder Feedback simplifies installation aboard outboard and sterndrive boats.

What is included in the NAC-2 VRF Core Pack?
The pack contains the low-current NAC-2 autopilot computer and the Precision-9 compass, with NAC-2 cables and NMEA 2000 networking components. It uses Virtual Rudder Feedback, so no separate rudder feedback unit is supplied or required.
What is Virtual Rudder Feedback?
Virtual Rudder Feedback (VRF) is a Simrad technology that calculates rudder position without a physical feedback sensor, simplifying installation aboard outboard and sterndrive (inboard/outboard) boats.
What size of boat is this pack for?
It suits smaller vessels up to 10 metres (33 feet), driving small hydraulic and mechanical drives, and provides solenoid output.
When should I choose a pack with a physical rudder feedback instead?
Boats with inboard engines, larger vessels and special applications generally benefit from a physical RF25 rudder feedback unit, as found in the standard NAC-2 Core Pack.
