Which charts does the Zeus3 7 support?
The Zeus3 supports C-MAP cartography (including DISCOVER, MAX N+ and REVEAL) as well as Navionics charts and Insight charts from Navico. Charts load from the unit's two microSD card slots. The product ships with a World Basemap as standard.
Can I connect a radar to the Zeus3 7?
Yes. The Zeus3 7 is compatible with B&G and Simrad radar, including HALO Pulse Compression Radar and Broadband 4G Radar. The radar connects to the system over the Ethernet network. Radar is sold separately on this MFD-only version.
Does the Zeus3 7 work on an NMEA 2000 network?
Yes. The Zeus3 7 has a NMEA 2000 Micro-C port and also supports NMEA 0183, so it integrates with B&G sailing instruments, autopilot, wind, depth and other compatible sensors on the boat.
What sonar and transducers does it support?
The Zeus3 7 has a built-in CHIRP, Broadband, StructureScan and ForwardScan echosounder. It has two 9-pin XSonic sonar ports for conventional CHIRP (50/200 kHz), HDI, TotalScan, StructureScan and ForwardScan transducers. A transducer is required for sonar and is sold separately.
What is the difference between the Zeus3 and the Zeus3S?
The Zeus3S is the later generation. It uses a faster processor, a SolarMAX IPS touchscreen with wider viewing angles, and supports up to six information panels on screen at once. Both share B&G's full suite of sailing features such as SailSteer, Laylines and RacePanel.
