Description
The 24V Battery Balancer is an Energy Solutions active voltage equaliser for a 24 volt bank made from two 12V batteries in series. Because no two batteries are identical, series strings gradually develop a voltage imbalance that can lead to premature, expensive failure of the whole bank. The balancer watches both batteries and keeps them matched.
As soon as it sees more than about 20mV of difference between the two batteries, it shunts current from the higher-voltage battery into the lower-voltage one at up to 5 amps, continuing until they are balanced. This improves performance and extends the life of lithium and lead-acid banks alike. Supplied as a dedicated 24V unit and designed and built in the UK.

When does the balancer start working?
It begins transferring charge once it detects more than about 20mV of difference between the two batteries, and continues until they are balanced.
Can I use it on a 36V or 48V system?
Two of these 24V units cover a 36V (three 12V) string. For a dedicated 48V (four 12V) bank, use the BAT-ACC-BALANCER-4B-ES.
Is it only for lead-acid batteries?
No. It works with both lithium and lead-acid batteries connected in series.
