Description

The Maretron MPower CBMD12 12-Channel Bypass Module is installed alongside a CLMD12 DC load controller to provide a dependable manual backup. In the event of a CLMD12 malfunction or an NMEA 2000 network failure, the CBMD12 lets you continue to control every load by hand, keeping essential circuits available.

It works by providing direct power to each CLMD12 load through a dedicated physical switch. Twelve Carling Curvette rocker switches give arc-free manual control of each circuit, and standard fuses provide overcurrent protection, supplied as a fuse pack containing four 5 amp, seven 10 amp and three 15 amp fuses. The module matches the CLMD12 output arrangement of two 12 amp, six 10 amp and four 5 amp circuits, for a total capacity of 75 amps in both 12 and 24 volt DC systems.

Because each circuit is controlled by its own switch, the bypass module does not support paralleled outputs or dimming, but it delivers straightforward, reliable manual operation when it is needed most.
