Description
The Garmin B45, based on the Airmar B45, is the smallest and most economical bronze narrow-stem thru-hull transducer in the range, supplied here with a fairing block for installation on angled hulls. Its narrow stem needs only a 22 mm hole, making it a tidy choice for sailing yachts and other vessels where a compact, low-drag thru-hull fitting is preferred.
It operates at 50 and 200 kHz with 600 W of power and provides both depth and water temperature, reading to between 800 and 1,200 ft. The 45 and 12 degree beams suit a mix of wider searching and deeper, more focused returns. The B45 is intended for fibreglass and wood hulls and supports deadrise angles from 0 to 26 degrees with the supplied fairing.
