Description

The Garmin GC 100 Wireless Camera adds a live on-water camera view to your Garmin chartplotter without the need to run a dedicated video cable back to the helm. Once paired, the camera streams over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi link to the chartplotter, where the feed appears alongside your charts and sonar. The camera should be mounted within 76 m (250 ft) line of sight of the chartplotter, with range depending on the installation and any obstacles in between. It is powered from the boat supply through its mount and carries an internal rechargeable battery, which can also be topped up using a Micro-USB connection. The camera drops into a supplied tamper-proof housing that is closed with side screws using the included tool, and an IPX6/IPX7 water rating suits exposed positions on deck.

How does the GC 100 connect to my chartplotter?
It streams over Wi-Fi. You configure the chartplotter Wi-Fi network, then pair the camera from Settings, Communications, Wireless Devices, Garmin Camera. No video cable is run to the helm.
How far can the camera be from the chartplotter?
Garmin recommends mounting the camera within 76 m (250 ft) of the chartplotter, line of sight. The usable range depends on your installation and any obstacles between the camera and the chartplotter.
How is the GC 100 powered?
It connects to the boat 12/24 V supply (10 to 30 Vdc) through its powered mount and has an internal rechargeable battery. The battery can also be charged via Micro-USB, though the cable is not included.
Is the GC 100 waterproof?
Yes. It carries an IEC 60529 IPX6/IPX7 water rating and withstands incidental exposure to water of up to 1 m for up to 30 minutes. It must not be mounted where it would be submerged.
