The Garmin GST 43 bundle pairs the thru-hull speed and temperature transducer with a GST 10 adapter, so it connects directly to a NMEA 2000 network and displays on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument. It measures water speed from 0.2 to 30 knots with +/- 1% accuracy, reads temperature, and retrofits an existing Nexus 43 mm thru-hull (TH43).

Description

This Garmin GST 43 bundle combines the thru-hull speed and temperature transducer with a GST 10 NMEA 2000 adapter for a complete, ready-to-network solution. The paddlewheel transducer measures water speed from 0.2 to 30 knots with +/- 1% accuracy and also reports water temperature, while the supplied GST 10 adapter lets it connect directly to a NMEA 2000 network for display on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument. It is designed as a direct retrofit for an existing Nexus 43 mm thru-hull transducer (TH43), fitting metal and fibreglass hulls from 6 to 42 mm thick through a 43 mm hole. The transducer is supplied with a 6 m (19.7 ft) cable, and the compact GST 10 adapter is rated to IPX7, runs from a 9 to 16 Vdc supply and draws just 0.9 W maximum. Water speed must be calibrated before use. This package is the simplest way to bring speed and temperature data onto a modern NMEA 2000 system.

What is included in this GST 43 bundle?
This bundle includes the GST 43 thru-hull speed and temperature transducer plus a GST 10 NMEA 2000 adapter, so it can connect directly to a NMEA 2000 network for display on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument.
What does the GST 43 measure?
The GST 43 uses a paddlewheel to measure water speed from 0.2 to 30 knots with +/- 1% accuracy, and it also reads water temperature.
Will the GST 43 fit my existing thru-hull?
The GST 43 is designed to retrofit an existing Nexus 43 mm thru-hull transducer (TH43), using a 43 mm hole, and suits metal and fibreglass hulls from 6 to 42 mm thick.
How is the GST 43 shown on my Garmin display?
When connected through the GST 10 adapter, connected devices list the GST 10 adapter rather than the GST 43. You select the GST 10 in the device list to calibrate water speed and configure temperature.
