Description
The Garmin GT21-TH is an 8-pin thru-hull transducer that pairs traditional 50/200 kHz sonar with Garmin ClearVu CHIRP scanning sonar (260 and 455 kHz). The 600 W traditional channel reaches depths of 1,500 ft and excels in rough conditions, while the 500 W ClearVu channel produces picture-like images of structure and fish directly beneath the boat to 1,000 ft. A built-in fast-response water temperature sensor is included. The transducer ships with a fairing block, isolation plate and bushings, so it can be flush-mounted on hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise and on metal hulls, and Garmin requires at least one anti-rotation bolt to be fitted. It connects via an 8-pin plug to compatible Garmin STRIKER, ECHOMAP and GPSMAP chartplotters and fishfinders.

What sonar does the GT21-TH provide?
It provides two sonar types: traditional 50/200 kHz sonar (600 W, to 1,500 ft) and Garmin ClearVu CHIRP scanning sonar at 260 and 455 kHz (500 W, to 1,000 ft). It does not include SideVu.
Does it come with a fairing block?
Yes. A fairing block is included, along with an isolation plate and bushings. It supports hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise; the fairing block is shaped to the hull so the transducer sits parallel to the waterline (maximum cut angle 25 degrees).
Which Garmin units is it compatible with?
It uses an 8-pin connector and works with compatible Garmin STRIKER, ECHOMAP and GPSMAP chartplotters and fishfinders that accept an 8-pin sonar transducer; some combinations require an adapter cable.
Does it read water temperature?
Yes, it has a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor.
How long is the cable?
The cable is 9 m (30 ft). The cable must not be cut or spliced, as that voids the warranty; Garmin extension cables are available if more length is needed.
