Description

The Garmin GT34UHD-TM is a compact transom-mount transducer focused on Ultra High-Definition scanning sonar. It delivers Garmin ClearVu directly beneath the boat and SideVu to either side, producing detailed, near-photographic imaging of fish-holding structure. The GT34 concentrates on scanning sonar and does not include traditional sonar.

Running 800 kHz ClearVu and 1,200 kHz SideVu at 500 W, it is well suited to inshore and freshwater anglers who want to upgrade an existing Garmin chartplotter to high-resolution scanning. A fast-response temperature sensor is built in, and the transducer can be mounted on a transom or trolling motor. A 12-pin connector and 6 m (20 ft.) cable complete the package.

Does the GT34UHD-TM include traditional sonar?
No. The GT34UHD-TM provides Garmin ClearVu and SideVu Ultra High-Definition scanning sonar only. It is intended to add high-resolution scanning to a chartplotter, not traditional CHIRP sonar.
What frequencies does the GT34UHD-TM use?
It runs Ultra High-Definition ClearVu at 800 kHz (760 to 880 kHz) and Ultra High-Definition SideVu at 1,200 kHz (1060 to 1170 kHz).
How deep can the GT34UHD-TM scan?
ClearVu reaches a maximum of 61 m (200 ft.) and SideVu covers 38 m (125 ft.) each side, 76 m (250 ft.) total. Actual performance depends on water conditions.
What connector and cable length does the GT34UHD-TM use?
It uses a 12-pin Garmin transducer connector with a 6 m (20 ft.) cable. Some chartplotters require a Garmin adapter cable, sold separately.
Which Garmin chartplotters work with the GT34UHD-TM?
It is compatible with STRIKER Vivid/Plus, ECHOMAP UHD2 and ECHOMAP Ultra 2 chartplotters, the GPSMAP 8600xsv and 9000 series, the GPSMAP 7x3/9x3/12x3/16x3xsv series, and the GCV 20 and GSD 25 sonar modules. Some pairings need a Garmin adapter cable.
