Icom HS-97 Earphone with Throat-mic

The Icom HS-97 is an earphone with an integrated throat microphone that provides discreet, hands-free operation on compatible Icom handheld transceivers. Rather than a conventional mic, the throat mic picks up speech directly from vibrations at the throat, giving clear audio even in noisy environments where a standard microphone would struggle. The compact, inconspicuous design keeps the microphone close to the body without noticeable protrusions, making it well suited to security, events and other situations where a low-profile fit matters. The HS-97 requires a separate Icom VOX/PTT switch unit (VS-1/L or VS-1SC) or a PTT switch cable (VS-4LA, VS-4MC or VS-5MC) to transmit, allowing the operator to keep both hands free.
